How to Swap and Send Mento Assets to friends Using Valora

GMento everyone! In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to swap Mento decentralized stablecoins like cUSD and cKES in the Valora app and send those assets to your friends seamlessly. Valora is a user-friendly digital wallet operating on the Celo network, making it perfect for managing and transacting Mento assets with ease.

Step 1: Open the Valora App

Setting up your Valora app is easy and takes a couple of minutes. First, open the Valora app on your mobile device. If you don’t have it installed yet, you can easily download it from the App Store or Google Play.

Step 2: Access the Swap Feature

Make sure your Valora app is funded with any asset, like CELO, ETH, cUSD, etc. To start swapping your Mento assets:

1. Open the Valora app and go to the Home section.

2. Look for the Swap icon at the top of the screen and tap it.

This will take you to the swap section, where you can choose which assets to swap.

Step 3: Select the Assets to Swap

Once in the swap section:

1. Select the asset to swap from: For this example, let’s choose CELO.

2. Select the asset to swap to: In this case, choose cUSD.

3. Enter the amount of CELO you’d like to swap for cUSD.

Step 4: Review and Confirm the Swap

After selecting the assets and the amount:

1. Review the details and tap on Confirm Swap.

Your swap will be processed on the Celo network. In just a few moments, you’ll see the newly swapped cUSD in your Valora wallet.

Let’s try another Mento asset. Follow the same steps:

1. Tap on Swap and select CELO.

2. This time, choose cKES as the asset to swap to.

3. Enter the desired amount and tap on Confirm Swap.

You can now go to the Wallet section of the app, where you’ll see your newly swapped cKES balance.

Step 5: Sending Mento Assets to Friends

Once you’ve swapped CELO for cKES, you can easily send these funds to your friends:

1. Tap on the “Send” icon and select the option to Send crypto to friends.

2. Choose the contact you’d like to send funds to. You can either pick someone from your contact list or enter their phone number manually.

3. Enter the amount of cKES you wish to send.

4. Review the transaction by tapping on Review.

5. Finally, tap Send to complete the transaction.

Your friend will instantly receive the funds in their Valora wallet.

Step 6: Track Your Transactions

To keep track of your swap and transfer history, simply navigate back to the Home section. Here, you’ll see all recent transactions, including swaps and transfers.
